Who We Are

✥ThinkScholars Forum✥
Where scholars think independently.

ThinkScholars Forum is a space for emerging scholars and independent thinkers to share research-informed ideas with a broader public. We believe that thoughtful analysis, rigorous reasoning and respectful dialogue should not be confined to academic journals or elite institutions. Instead, they should be part of everyday conversations about the issues that matter.

We started ThinkScholars Forum to support those at the beginning of their scholarly journey — graduate students, early-career researchers, independent analysts and practitioners with something to say — but who often struggle to find an outlet for their ideas. Our goal is to lower that barrier without lowering standards.

We publish a variety of work, from analytical articles and policy commentaries to research reflections, essays, dialogues and narrative stories. What connects all of it is a commitment to evidence, clarity and constructive engagement. We value independent thought and encourage contributors to bring their unique perspectives to our shared conversations.

We are neither a university press nor a commercial news site. We are a community built around intellectual curiosity, mutual learning and public reasoning. Our editorial process is peer-oriented and developmental: submissions are reviewed and edited for clarity and impact and contributors are supported throughout.

At ThinkScholars Forum, ideas begin as questions, grow through research and find meaning through dialogue. Our contributors represent diverse places, disciplines and experiences and we aim to build a forum that reflects a global range of voices.

Whether you’re exploring a new research idea, weighing in on a policy debate, or using storytelling to make sense of real-world experience, you’re welcome here.

What We Publish

  • Analytical articles: evidence-based examination of policy, society, law and global affairs
  • Policy commentaries: concise, practical insights into current developments
  • Research reflections: thoughtful pieces grounded in research processes or findings
  • Essays and perspectives: well-argued viewpoints that connect ideas with public discourse
  • Dialogues and interviews: structured conversations that reveal different angles
  • Stories: narrative work that brings lived experience into conversation with scholarly insight

We intentionally keep our formats broad so contributors can express ideas in the form that serves them best.

Who Contributes

ThinkScholars Forum is built by and for:

  • Emerging and early-career scholars
  • Graduate researchers and independent analysts
  • Practitioners and writers with research-informed perspectives
  • Anyone interested in connecting ideas with public understanding

Institutional affiliation is helpful but not required. We judge work by the strength of its thinking and its contribution to informed dialogue.

Our Independence

A Grassroots Platform with Global Ambition

ThinkScholars Forum is currently a volunteer-run initiative developed alongside academic and professional commitments. The platform operates independently and is not funded by any institution, organisation or political body.

As the platform grows, we aim to build partnerships and support structures that strengthen our reach while preserving our independence, integrity and commitment to emerging voices.
